About the Position

In our factory in Gunnebo, we manufacture high-quality steel chain products for both lifting and fishing. We are equipped with machines for wire drawing, annealing, hardening, calibration, and powder coating. We work in the SAP business system and use Balthzar to measure utilization and availability in the machines.

As a production engineer with us, you will initiate, lead, and drive various production engineering projects. You will identify and implement ongoing production optimizations and secure the production process for future challenges.

You will act as an internal project manager responsible for key figures, timelines, and financial frameworks. You will be involved from start to finish in project implementation, which means you will prepare documentation and investment calculations and drive projects from feasibility study to implementation.

Another important part of the job is to lead and follow up on the continuous improvement work in the factory. To prioritize and implement improvements that have the greatest effect, good dialogue and communication with employees are required.

In summary, the role means that you will work both independently and in teams, with both shorter and longer projects. The efforts aim to improve the work environment, productivity, capacity, and efficiency for all production sections in the factory. You will belong to the production engineering department and collaborate with various competencies within the factory to develop the operations. In some projects, such as product changes where manufacturing needs to be adapted and adjusted, you will collaborate with the product development department located in Växjö.

About You

We are looking for someone with an education focused on production development. If you also have work experience in production technology within the industry, it is a merit.

You have a strong interest in production processes and are passionate about working with improvements and efficiencies. Experience in improvement work within the industry and/or experience in Lean is desirable. Knowledge of CAD and material knowledge in steel is a merit.

Knowledge of the Office suite and fluent language skills in Swedish and English are required.
